Medellín, an urban citizen project
Building a city for life, from "Urbanismo Social“ to urban strategies

VORTRAG

Jorge Pérez Jaramillo is an Architect from Medellín ColombiaDiploma from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana de Medellín (1987). Now Visiting Fellow at the King's College, University of Cambridge, United Kingdom.
From 1993 to 2001 Perez was dean of the Facultad de Arquitectura Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) Medellín, over those years, the school became a laboratory for Medellín's urban crisis, and this was a splendorous time, where a generation of master architects were educated. These and upcoming generations of architects are the ones that currently contribute most actively to the transformation of Medellín through public space interventions.
